Stronger Matcha Smoothie

The weights are getting heavier and we are seeing our strength improve week on week.

This month we have created a mean green stronger smoothie, packed full of protein to help build muscle and a hit of caffeine to give us an extra boost during workout, this juice packs a powerful amount of goodness.

Pears are full of fibre and contain powerful antioxidants which help fight inflammation and infection. Pears are 100% fat and cholesterol free and have been credited as helping prevent cardiovascular illnesses and aid weight loss.

Spinach is high in Vitamin C as well as being packed with antioxidants which are regarded as a key defence for your cells against disease.

Matcha tea  contains caffeine which can help give you that extra boost when consumed just before a workout. It has also been said that this wonder tea can help boost your metabolism.

Vanilla protein powder, using a high quality, vegan protein powder will not only give you a boost of vital protein but also speed up metabolism and provide a healthy dose of fibre.

Almond milk is full of vitamin D and the unsweetened varieties contains half the calories of cows milk. It also tastes pretty great.

Ingredients (makes 1 smoothie)

1 cored pear (no need to peel)

1 tsp matcha tea powder

1 handful of fresh spinach

200ml unsweetened almond milk

1 scoop of high quality, vegan, vanilla protein powder

 

Method

Add all ingredients to your smoothie maker and blitz.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
