TONIQ – Corona Virus Advice

We care about our community and want to reassure you about the steps we are taking to ensure you are always in safe hands at TONIQ.  We have always taken pride in the cleanliness of our studio, however we have taken some additional measures to maximise this. We are aware the situation with coronavirus is ever-changing and are monitoring it extremely closely.

  • We will ask everyone on arrival if they are well or have knowingly been in contact with anyone who is a possible or confirmed case of Corona Virus (please don’t be offended, this is for the safety of all of the community).
  • We wipe down and clean all equipment and mats after every class with antibacterial cleaner and attention to detail has been ramped up!
  • Windows are open in every class to ensure a flow of fresh air throughout the studio.
  • We have hand antibacterial soap in every bathroom.
  • We fist bump rather than high five you at the end of class!
  • The gym is professionally cleaned every day.
  • We regularly disinfect all door handles in our studios throughout the day.
  • We provide disinfectant wipes for you to use at any point in your workout.

  • Wash your hands before and after class (for at least 20 seconds)
  • Bring your own water bottle to class and fill up from our water fountain
  • Bring a sweat towel to class
  • Please do not come to class if you’re feeling unwell. Focus on rest and recovery before returning to us.
  • Remember – don’t high five!
  • Throw away any used tissues after use

If you’ve recently travelled from somewhere with a high risk of coronavirus, please do not book into a class with us until you are confirmed to be clear of the virus. If you’ve been to one of these places in the last 14 days, you can find out what to do using the NHS 111 online coronavirus service.

The NHS currently states most people can continue to go to work, and all other public places. You only need to stay away from public places (self-isolate) if advised to by the 111 online coronavirus service or a medical professional. This could change so please refer to the NHS information site for up to date advice.

How to avoid spreading or catching Coronavirus:

  • wash your hands regularly with soap and water – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • if soap and water are not available use hand sanitiser gel
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin immediately  and wash your hands afterwards
  • avoid any contact with people who are unwell

  • do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

Thank you for reading and for helping to ensure TONIQ stays a safe place to workout.
